Read Exploring Business: Chapter 8.3.

Team Building Activity: Snowflake Challenge (activity source)

  1. Pass out a piece of paper to each team member.
  2. Have each team member close their eyes or blindfold them.
  3. Now out loud, go through the instruction on how to make a snowflake with the paper you have given to them.

Steps to Make a Snowflake

  1. Fold your paper in half.
  2. Fold it in half again.
  3. Tear off the top right corner.
  4. Fold your paper in half lengthwise.
  5. Tear off the bottom left corner.
  6. Rotate your paper.
  7. Fold it in half again.
  8. Tear off a piece from the middle.
  9. Open your eyes and show off your snowflake.

For Discussion:

  • How easy or hard was it to follow instructions?
  • How did it affect the outcome of your snowflake?
  • Who took on task-facilitating roles or relationship-building roles during the team experiences this week?
